El día que Carolina regresa a la tierra donde nació, desconoce que es dueña de todo y que por sus venas corre sangre maldita…
Barrantes era el potentado de la región. Un hombre egoísta que se apoderó de las tierras, las casas y hasta las vidas del pueblo. Un hombre al que todos odiaban y temían y ante la imposibilidad de deshacerse de él, desearon que jamás se reprodujera. La fuerza del odio es tal que se convierte en maldición y un día, todos conjuran para que su especie no se reproduzca sentenciando: si algún día la sangre de Barrantes corre por alguna criatura, esta será maldita. El pueblo no lo sabe, pero una noche Barrantes logra engendrar una hija, que tendrá que abandonar el pueblo recién nacida para regresar años más tarde como hija de la criada en una tierra que le pertenece.
Carolina, quien desconoce toda la verdad, regresa y se enamora, sin saberlo cada vez que un hombre se le acerca, cada vez que el amor está por darse y ella cercana a reproducirse, la maldición se anuncia rompiendo espejos, quebrando vidrios, rayos, truenos y tormentas caen en la región que no cesa de buscar a la hija de Barrantes para acabar con ella, para impedir que ame.

Barrantes was the region's potentate. A selfish man who took over the land, the houses and even the lives of the people. A man that everyone hated and feared and, faced with the impossibility of getting rid of him, they wished that he would never reproduce. The force of hatred is such that it becomes a curse and one day, everyone conjures so that his species does not reproduce, sentencing: if one day the blood of Barrantes runs through any creature, it will be cursed. The town does not know it, but one night Barrantes manages to father a daughter, who she will have to leave the town as a newborn to return years later as the daughter of the maid in a land that she belongs to.
Carolina, who is unaware of the whole truth, returns and falls in love, unknowingly every time a man approaches her, every time love is about to occur and she is close to reproducing, the curse announces itself breaking mirrors, breaking glass, lightning, thunder and storms fall on the region that does not stop looking for Barrantes' daughter to end her, to prevent her from loving.
