Armando (28 años), y Lizzete (25 años): Se aman, son ricos, ella muy bella, y él muy poderoso. Sin embargo, son fugitivos de la ley y mientras huyen, intentan entender dónde la vida, en lugar de un sueño, se le convirtió en una pesadilla. Armando recuerda su humilde niñez en la plaza de mercado, cuando era pobre, despreciado, sin futuro y juró ser el hombre más rico del país. Entre tanto, Lizzete recuerda cuando soñó que sería reina, modelo, rica y famosa. Los dos soñaron ser adinerados y poderosos, soñaron con codearse con “la crema y nata” de la sociedad y lo lograron. Armando, lleno de sueños y de ilusiones, viajó a una lejana región para empezar una nueva vida… Y vaya vida, la que empezaría, sin un peso en los bolsillos, con el más grande deseo de trabajar, creó su propia fórmula para acabar con la pobreza. Ella lo acompañó, lo apoyó, incluso fue más allá de donde debió hacerlo. Con esfuerzo y amor regresaron a la plaza de mercado de donde Armando un día partió despreciado y humillado, desde allí lograron el sueño de muchos.
Dejaron la pobreza atrás, pasaron de un mundo de carencias y necesidades a una vida llena de lujos y excesos. Triunfaron, pero el precio del éxito fue muy alto. La maravillosa fórmula para erradicar la pobreza y acabar con el hambre sirvió no solo para enriquecerlos, a su vez llenó de ilusiones a miles de personas que soñaron como ellos en dejar atrás una vida de dificultades. Desde la sencilla plaza de mercado, Armando iniciaría una gran empresa, conquistaría ciudades, corazones, y entraría a los círculos más selectos y privilegiados, ofreciendo la ilusión del enriquecimiento rápido y de las jugosas ganancias para los inversionistas. Lizzete cumpliría sus fantasías infantiles gracias a las millonarias sumas obtenidas por su esposo. Los casi adolescentes, millonarios, intentaron comprar todo lo que se ponía frente a su paso.
Fundaron y crearon todo tipo de empresas, supermercados, agencias de modelos, transportadoras de valores y productoras de cine y televisión. A medida que la milagrosa fórmula iba dando sus ganancias, la ambición de esta pareja de enamorados fue creciendo de forma desmedida. No les bastó con llenarse de lujos y dinero, ahora también querían comprar poder. Una pareja joven, tan próspera y adinerada fácilmente despertaría sospechas y envidias. Y ante tanto lujo y derroche aparece el Mayor Luis Leal, policía honesto e incorruptible, quien dirige y organiza la investigación para conocer de dónde proviene el dinero que ha convertido a Armando y a Lizzete en una de las parejas más adineradas del país. Si la pobreza trae consigo muchas complicaciones, la riqueza también y mucho más cuando detrás de esa gran fortuna posiblemente hay un grave delito.

She accompanied him, supported him, even went beyond what he should have done. With effort and love they returned to the market place where Armando left one day despised and humiliated, from there they achieved the dream of many.

As the miraculous formula was giving its profits, the ambition of this couple in love grew excessively. It was not enough for them to fill themselves with luxuries and money, now they also wanted to buy power. Such a prosperous and wealthy young couple would easily arouse suspicion and envy. And in the face of so much luxury and waste, Major Luis Leal appears, an honest and incorruptible policeman who directs and organizes the investigation to find out where the money that has turned Armando and Lizzete into one of the wealthiest couples in the country comes from. If poverty brings with it many complications, wealth also and much more when behind that great fortune there is possibly a serious crime.
