Pilar Carrasco, contadora de 32 años, tiene un romance de una noche con el abogado Sergio Gaviria. Al día siguiente se entera que él se va a casar. Semanas después se descubre que está embarazada y luego de 9 meses, nace Adelaida, con un problema renal que la tiene al borde de la muerte.
Pilar no tiene EPS y la operación es muy costosa. Así que decide buscar a Sergio, pero se encuentra con la madre de este, Eugenia Herrera de Gaviria. Eugenia le niega cualquier ayuda a Pilar y le dice que Sergio está fuera del país. Pilar acude a Julián González, quien, sin ella saberlo, está en el negocio de correos humanos del narcotráfico. Pilar, al ver que no logra conseguir dinero por ningún medio, y al enterarse de los negocios de Julián, se ofrece para irse de mula para la cirugía de su bebé. Adelaida se queda con Carmela, prima de Pilar, a quien engaña haciéndole creer que consiguió un trabajo en México.
Ya en la ciudad, Elisa, su compañera de viaje, muere cuando se le estalla una bolsa de cocaína en el estómago y Pilar confiesa que ella también es una Mula cuando trata de salvarle la vida. En la cárcel, Pilar recibe la visita de Julián, quien la amenaza para que no acuse a la cabeza de la organización. Pilar acepta si él se compromete a salvar a Adelaida, sin saber que Carmela encontró a Sergio, quien se hace cargo de los costos de la cirugía.
Pilar se entera en México de que la niña ha sido operada y creyendo que es Julián, se autoinculpa y recibe una pena de 8 años de prisión. Sergio sabe que la niña se ha quedado sola y le cuenta la verdad a Cristina Esguerra, su esposa. Cristina lo perdona, y se compromete a ser madre de Adelaida, rebautizándola con el nombre de Paula, pero usa las influencias de su padre para que Pilar no reciba notificaciones sobre su hija. Pilar no solo se entera de la muerte de Carmela, quien pretendió descubrir a los mafiosos, sino que se queda sin pistas de su hija. Pilar enfrenta los peligros de la cárcel, y recuperar a su hija es una obsesión.
Frustrada por no saber interpretar los mensajes oficiales, ni poder redactar derechos de petición, Erika Sandoval, su abogada de oficio, la apoya para que estudie Derecho y pueda rebajar su condena. Pilar escucha historias de mulas colombianas engañadas al nunca saber que transportaban droga. Los años pasan y está a punto de quedar libre. Así, alguien recibe sus llamados de auxilio, se trata de Alexander Avendaño, un estudiante de Derecho. Pilar sale de la cárcel y cuando llega a Colombia, su único apoyo es Alex, quien le ayuda en su búsqueda por Adelaida, la cual no da resultados, pero Pilar, sabe que esta labor, como la de ayudar a las mulas, no será fácil y así le pide a Alex que trabajen en esta labor. A Alex le suena la oferta, no solo porque puede practicar la rama del Derecho Penal, sino porque Pilar lo atrae mucho. Pero, Alex tiene otra propuesta de Cadena y Asociados, compañía en la que trabaja Sergio Gaviria, el hombre del que Pilar quedó embarazada.
Pilar acompaña a Alex a la entrevista y en la antesala juega con Paula, sin saber que está más cerca que nunca de su hija. De aquí en adelante, Pilar tendrá que luchar por recuperar a su hija, a la vez que luchará por defender a aquellas mulas inocentes, mientras que la Organización en la que trabaja Julián planea como sacarla del camino. Correo de Inocentes, una serie cargada de tensión, suspenso, nostalgia y mucho drama que le brinda un carácter ‘humano’ a la noción de la justicia implacable.
Pilar Carrasco is crazy about her boss, Sergio Gaviria; he is a chaming lawyer who she is working for, as a bookkeeper, long time ago. After having a one-night passionate affair, Pilar thinks that she reached his ideal love with Sergio; only then, she realices yhat he is about to get married. She feels insulted, and decidesto keep away from him definitely.
Some weeks later, Pilar finds out that she is expecting a baby from Sergio, as a consequence of such passionate night, and makes the decisión to have her baby without telling him. Nine months later, Adelaida is born, but has a serious renal problem, and the only solution is a surgery that Pilar can´t afford.
Pilar approaches Sergio with no other reasonthan saving her daughter´s life, but she unfortunately meets his mother, Eugenia Herrera, the Narcotics Districs attoney, who thinks Pilar is an opportunist, and lies to her about her son´s location. She refuses to give Pilar any kindn of help.
With no solution in sight, Pilar looks for here best friend, Julián González, who is involved in the drug mules business; then, she decides to travel to Mexico loaded with cocaine capsules in her body. In the meantime, her sister Carmela is taking care of the bady; she is convinced that Pilar got a job out pof the country. When Pilar arrives in Mexico, she finds out that her fellow traveler has problems because her capsules burst out in her stomach; in the middle of this stresssful situation, trying to save her life, she confessesthat she is also a drug-mule, and is arrested.
When Pilar is serving her prison term in a Mexican prison, under threats of the criminal organization, she promises Julián not to reveal anything about the trip if he helps her daughter. At the same time, Carmela runs into Sergio in Colombia, and he take charge of his daugther, paying all the expenses of the surgery.
Some days later, Pilar hears that her daugther wasn operated; beliving that Julián kept his promise, she pleads guilty, and receives an eight-year sentece.
As time goes by, Sergio and his wife Cristina Cadena share their home with the bady, whom they renamued Paula. In the meantime, Pilar, who is adviced by her public defender, starts studying law to cut her sentence short. She also plans to use this knowledge to help other drug mules that have been cheated by drug dearles, but the most important objetive for her is to be able to get her daughter Adelaida back, regardless the difficult situations she might face to achieve that goal, and the fact that she does not have a clue about her daughter´s life.
When she is about to leave prison, Pilar hears that Alex Avendaño, a clever law student, payed attention to her calls for help, and he is very interested in working on penal-law cases. He will help her not only looking for Adelaida, but also solving the cases, that Pilar decides to take, about betrayed drug mules once she leves prison. As of that momento, a number of legal buttles will start, and these fights will b the core of this story, and will also be the cause that will cross Pillar´s and Sergio´s lives since she represents his competence in Cadena y Asociados law firm. On the other hand, the orgnization where Julián Works is planing on pushing Pilar aside definitely.
Correo de Inocentes (traffic with the innocent), is a saries full of tensión, suspense nostalgia, providens a humane touch in the middle of an implacable-justice world.
