“La Mona”, como también la llaman sus amigos, es una bellísima jovencita apasionada a más no poder, impulsiva, y fanática de las baladas románticas. Carmencita es de las que hace primero y después piensa, de las que siempre es conducida por su instinto y no se deja amilanar ante cualquier dificultad, no tiene pelos en la lengua para cantarle las verdades a nadie, sean las que sean. Galy se volverá la inspiración que necesita Carmencita para ser libre. El problema es que ella jamás calculó el costo que tendría dicha libertad: la plata, la crianza de sus hijos, la vida real que muchas veces no es tan linda, como las baladas que tanto le gusta escuchar por la radio.
