En el barrio tiene fama de casquivana y quita maridos y lo cierto es que no desaprovecha oportunidad para coquetear y tira el anzuelo, aunque sin mucha suerte porque los hombres no suelen durarle mucho, pero eso sí por lo menos "algo les saca". Lo que más le duele a Mónica es que el padre de su nieto sea el Baby, hijo de un albañil y de una mujer enfermera. Debido a la cantidad de gastos que se le vienen con su nieto, Mónica intentará tener una relación con el que ella opina es el que tiene mas futuro en el barrio, Don Álvaro. Así, ella ira poco a poco metiendo mano en las decisiones del gimnasio y sacándole provecho.
