Nació en Cúcuta, Norte de Santander, en un barrio muy pobre llamado La Libertad. Empezó muy joven la carrera militar en la policía y ascendió rápidamente, llegando a ser el jefe de seguridad de Palacio bajo de presidencia de Andrés Pastrana. Ejerciendo este cargo se casa con Marbelle, de 19 años, mientras él tiene 35. Fue investigado y condenado por presunto enriquecimiento ilícito y cumplió su condena en diferentes cárceles, para recuperar la libertad después de cinco años. Es inteligente, astuto, buen negociante, disciplinado y romántico.

He was born in Cúcuta, Norte de Santander, in a very poor neighborhood called La Libertad. He began his military career in the police at a very young age and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the head of security at the Palace under the presidency of Andrés Pastrana. He was investigated and convicted for alleged illicit enrichment and served his sentence in different prisons, only to regain his freedom after five years. He is intelligent, astute, a good businessman, disciplined and romantic.
