Su gran amor, el papá de Gaviota, la dejó apenas supo que estaba embarazada, por eso teme que su hija repita su misma historia con Sebastián. Siempre que llega a un sitio lo decora y lo organiza de una forma ejemplar. Hubo rumores que entre Carmenza y Octavio existía un romance, pues era indudable la admiración de Octavio hacia ella por ser una mujer fuerte, trabajadora y orgullosa de ser campesina.

Whenever she arrives to a place she decorates it and organizes it in an exemplary way. There were rumors that there was a romance between Carmenza and Octavio, since Octavio undoubtedly admired her for being a strong, hardworking woman, proud of being a peasant.
